Prof. Keyhanis classes - Creativity Class Egg Drop Contest
Date:2021-11-15
Prof. Vahid Keyhani recently arranged an egg-drop contest for his creativity course students at Jimei University. Prof. Chris Crumley, Prof. Jose Torres, and Prof. Paul McAfee were invited as volunteers to judge this creativity contest. The egg-drop contest is a very popular activity for American college students. The goal of the egg-drop contest is to apply knowledge of physics and creativity to build an egg-protecting apparatus capable of providing a safe landing upon falling from a tall building. Points are given for creativity, targeting, “survival” of the egg, and the mass of the apparatus. Those students whose apparatus has the least amount of mass and that protects the egg will win a prize. The students really appreciated and enjoyed this creative activity.
