On October 21, 2015, representatives from Keuka College, U.S.A. visited our university. The Keuka College delegation was led by Keuka College Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Paul Forestell, Senior Director for Global Academic Initiatives, Dr. William Myers, Administrative Chancellor for China Campuses, Keuka China Programs, Dr. Joseph Hwang and Director of Keuka China Programs (Xiamen Office) Ms. Lily Liu.

On the afternoon of October 21, the representatives of Keuka College and the leaders of our International School of Business, Yunnan University of Finance and Economics as well as a few department heads from the Sino-American Joint Collaboration Program discussed a number of issues and exchanged views.

To begin, Dean Liu Ersi welcomed the visiting Keuka College delegation, especially to those who were new to the program in China. Dean Liu recounted the hard work the Sino-American Joint Collaboration Program staff had done over the years, especially in the case of former Administrative Chancellor for China Campuses, Keuka China Programs, Dr. Michael Hwang.  Dean Liu ended by saying that even though the program is running smoothly now, the staff should continue to apply themselves vigorously to make sure things stay that way. Dr. Forestell then exchanged views with other members on how courses and teaching strategies may be altered so as to better accommodate the needs of students in the modern era.

Among the topics discussed were adjustments that the program could make so as to better improve the students English language ability. All topics were deliberated on in great detail and were discussed quite effectively.
