The 2017 graduation ceremony for graduates of Sino-U.S. academic cooperation program was successfully held at Tianjin University of Science and Technology.

On the morning of June 3, the 2017 graduation ceremony for graduates of the Sino-U.S. academic cooperation program was jointly held with Keuka College, U.S.A. The graduation ceremony was held at the Hexi campus, Tianjin University of Science Technology. Dr. Jorge L.Diaz-Herrera, President of Keuka College, Dr. Joseph Hwang,Administrative Chancellor for Keuka China Programs at China Campuses, and Prof. Li Zhanyong, Vice President of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, attended the ceremony.   Administrators from the International Exchange Office, the International College, Dean of the School of Business Management, and parents of the graduates attended the ceremony to witness the wonderful moment of the 2017 undergraduates. Ms. XiongCongcong, Party Secretary and Dean of the International College, presided over the graduation ceremony.

With the beginning of Chinese and American national anthems, the graduation ceremony started. Dr. Li Zhanyong , Vice President of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, delivered a speech with affection, giving thanks to those who made efforts to the Sino-U.S. academic cooperation program and granted his approval of the marvelous academic achievements, employment, and further study of Keuka China Programs graduates and expressed his high expectations to all graduates: to continue to carry forward the motto of Tianjin University of Science and Technology and be an excellent people. 

Dr. Jorge L.Diaz-Herrera, President of Keuka College, U.S.A. approved of the achievements which the graduates had gained in the past four years and expressed his gratitude to the colleagues of Tianjin University of Science and Technology who are in support of the cooperation program.

Dr. Joseph Hwang, Administrative Chancellor for Keuka China Programs at China Campuses, hoped that the graduates will remember the cooperation and friendship between two universities, with the heart of gratitude in their future life.  He also wished the 2017 graduates a promising future. 

At the ceremony, Vice President Li Zhanyong, on behalf of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, granted the title of Life-long Visiting Professor to Dr. Michael Hwang, Emeritus Administrative Chancellor for Keuka China Programs at China Campuses, in honor of his contributions for the academic cooperation programs in the last ten years.

Subsequently, Zhang Jinghan and Ma Wentao, being the valedictorian, delivered a speech in Chinese and English respectively, reminding the graduates to recall everything they had experienced over the last four years, expressing thanks to their teachers, parents, and classmates and hoping their two alma mater have students everywhere.  Besides, they also wish their teachers, parents the best of health and every student a bright future.

At the ceremony, all graduates went up onto the platform in turn, receiving their diplomas, awards and stoles presented by president Jorge L. Diaz-Herrera, Dr. Joseph Hwang and  Vice President Li zhanyong.
