The 2018 graduation ceremony for the graduates of Keuka China Programs cooperation program was successfully held at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics

On the morning of June 15, the graduation ceremony of the 2018 Sino-U.S. academic cooperation program was held at the international conference hall of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. Dr. Jorge Diaz-Herrera, President of Keuka College, U.S.A., Dr. Joseph Hwang, Administrative Chancellor for Keuka China Programs at China Campuses, Keuka College, Prof. Gary Giss, Director of International Programs – Asia, Keuka College, Prof. Guo Wudai, Party Secretary of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, P.R.C., Prof. Shi Zhongjun, Office Director of the Office of the Party Committee attended the graduation.
A video made by the television broadcasting station of International Business College for the graduates made them feel the hardship of their four-year study, their fondness for the International Business College as well as their trust in the future. The graduation ceremony began when the video was over.
Prof. Guo Wudai provided his remarks on behalf of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. He expressed congratulations and well wishes to the graduates and their parents. He encouraged the graduates to continue to think through problems, be brave to innovate and be confident to seek the highest quality in their future work. He hopes that the graduates will continue to be concerned with their alma mater’s development, and he hopes that their future accomplishments will be of service to the country, to the people and to benefit society.
Dr. Diaz-Herrera, expressed his congratulations to graduates and their parents. In addition, he also hoped that all graduates should make persistent efforts in their future work. He acknowledged the achievements of the Sino-U.S. academic cooperation program to date. Dr. Herrera also presented the Golden Key Award for the highest grade point average to 2018 Keuka China Programs graduates Yang Haochen and Zhu Lin, and congratulated them on their accomplishment.
Dr. Joseph Hwang expressed his congratulations to the graduates, recalled the sixteen-year cooperation history between the two universities and expressed his gratitude to all parents of the graduates.
Yang Haochen, delivered a speech at the graduation ceremony as student representative. He recalled what he had experienced in the last four years at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics and expressed deep gratitude to his alma mater. He also looked into the future, hoping that all students can be more hardworking and bring the spirit of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics as well as the International Business College into their future work and study.
Dr. Diaz-Herrera, Dr. Joseph Hwang, and Prof. Giss presented the diplomas, Academic Excellence Awards and Career Management and Experiential Learning Excellence Awards to the graduates and took group photos with graduates and parents.
