International College of Tianjin University of Science and Technology Held Sino-Us Cooperatively-run Schools Students’ Graduation Ceremony

In the morning of June 20th, 2010, there are full of happiness in library report hall Hexi campus. The 146 graduates of international college Keuka program are celebrate their graduation here.
Professor Xioahong Cao, the president of TUST attends and addresses the ceremony. Dr. Joseph Burke, president of Keuka College, New York, USA and Dr. Michael T.C. Hwang, vice-president and Director of Keuka China Programs participate and make speeches on behalf of cooperate college.
Vice presidents of Keuka College Dr. Anne Weed and Gary Smith attend in the ceremony and award honorary certificates to the excellent graduates together. The related unit leaders of international college and international communication department also join in the ceremony. The dean of international college, Mr. Jianguo Zhang holds the ceremony.
In president Cao’s speech, she highly affirms the spirits of serious, careful and professional, which show in the process of Sino-Us cooperative program. She also fully affirms Keuka’s education, which introduces the better course system, international management concepts and the world view to our students, helping them to improve their overall quality, especially the practical using of English.
President Cao think: through the communication and cooperation with the foreign college, TUST refers the world development trend, uses the global codes and standards as the rules, grasps world high-education’s changing trends and laws, and gains very rich experience in many aspects, such as learning advanced education ideas and contents, sponsoring concepts and methods, management mode and talent training quality. There are also a lot of internationalized human talents graduated from TUST. They have the international visions, international cooperation and competition ability, global responsibility consciousness; they love natural and peace, respect and understand different cultures and other’s rights. It is improved TUST’S education quality, international reputation, international status and international competitiveness. She believes and looking forward to see more great managers and entrepreneurs who are graduated today. And let both TUST and Keuka College be proud of them.
President Joseph Burke shares Keuka University’s glorious history and traditions in his speech. And congratulated for the 102nd graduates of Keuka for what they have achieved in the last four years. He gives five suggestions for students’ futures development and planning, and hopes that students could be reasonable when they facing any opportunities and responsibilities, use what they learned to make contributions to their family, community, and even the country, the social development.
Dr. Michael T.C. Hwang adds his sagacity and philosophy into his speech. He shares his career development experience and inspiration, and offers a lot of valuable suggestions and advices for students’ career and life planning.
In valedictory remarks, they sincerely thanks for the 4-year’s hard work of both TUST and Keuka teachers and staffs in KCP ( Keuka China Program). They think both TUST and Keuka will develop better in the future and the Sino-Us program are also full of hopes. They are full of confidence for personal development either, and look forward to contribute their own ability for mather schools development.

The leaders of two colleges award the diploma for 146 graduates, and academic excellence prize for more than 80 graduates and the excellent experiential learning and career management prize for over 80 graduates.
In the afternoon, president Cao and leaders of Keuka College have an informal discussion for the details of the future cooperation and the trainings that choosing foreign language teacher from TUST to Keuka America for additional studies, etc.
